| Project Title: | Multi-temporal vegetation health assessment of India and lessons from the United States |
| Abstract of Project : | |
| Vegetation health assessment is today an important research area in the context of sustainable development and climate change. My Fulbright project proposes to assess India's vegetation health during the period 1998-2010 using the multi-temporal SPOT vegetation satellite data (1998-2010) along with climate variables. The changes will be measured using the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI). In addition, I will review the policies in the U.S. so that lessons can be drawn on how India can better manage its vegetation health. | |
